"Passion" doesn’t even begin to describe Samuel Donner! His drive to create something new, exciting, and engaging with his friend and colleague John has grown to new heights in the form of Ok Storytime! With a fantastic team behind him, he now also creates content in New York City, interviewing and befriending people on the streets! You’ll still find him in LA reading stories when he’s available, giving the most unhinged opinions and advice.

After moving to LA at just 18 years old, John has been following his dreams his entire adult life! He has worked on multiple shows and podcasts, ultimately leading him to meet Sam and for the two of them to build Ok Storytime from the ground up! He also produces and publishes his own rap music under the name John the Rapper, and if you’re lucky, you might even find him filming content with the public on Venice Beach!

As Sam’s younger sister, she’ll call him out on his tomfoolery! Her Literature degree makes her a great asset for defining and pronouncing words, making sure the team understands the story for which they’re giving advice! Also known as the Worm Queen, she quickly became a fan favorite after permanently joining the team.

Originally from North Carolina, Riley grew up on a farm and sawmill, so he prides himself on hard work and a job well done. He started working for Ok Storytime as a producer, working remotely from across the country until they were sure it was a good fit. He soon took the leap and moved out to LA to work in person with John and Sam, and has become their local tech expert, while also reading the occasional story!

Keian, who is known for having a distinctive feature, hence his nickname being cakes, balances out the chaotic energy at okstorytime. Mainly a producer running the show, sometimes host, cakes brings the chaotic neutrality (most of the time). Keian born on June 4, 1996 is a local LA native. He's American Filipino and is always happy to give his people a quick shoutout. When he's not producing, he's nerding out via video games, anime, Star wars, and other main stream nerd culture. He's a huge foodie but really loves his snacks, for him the weirder the more he wants to try it! Known for his quirkiness and kindness, Keian always tries his best to make everyone feel welcome and involved! so don't feel shy when saying hi to him in the chat, who knows maybe he'll say hi back!

Angelina White, also known as “Miss Protein,” is the OK Team’s resident textiles wizard and all-around creative angel. Born on September 27th, 2002, she’s a proud Libra who loves anything pink or green and wears a comfy size M. She first joined the squad in September 2024, originally to spend more time with her boyfriend — and later ended up becoming a core part of the team. Angie is known for her ever-changing hair (blonde, red, then purple, then red again), her sweet calm energy, and her ability to instantly brighten any room she walks into. She's passionate about designing and making custom cloths, bags too, so if it’s cute and sewn, she can make it. She loves tiny citrus candles, tiny anything really, and is always down for cozy vibes. Angie keeps the community lively, stylish, and full of heart.

Karly McGowan, our beloved OG Axolotl, brings chaotic cuteness, creativity, and just the right amount of mischief to the OK Team. Born on April 24th, she’s known for loving all things purple, which honestly fits her energy perfectly. Whether she’s snacking on popcorn or demolishing sour patch watermelons, she’s always powered up and ready for whatever wild idea the team throws her way. If Karly looks familiar, it’s probably because she voiced the tiny unhinged axolotl in the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie which she also worked on as an apprentice editor! when she's not in the cutting room, she can usually be found vibing with Keian’s ghost, creating chaos, or bringing pure serotonin to everyone around her. Karly is quirky, vibrant, unforgettable, and a core part of OK Storytime’s chaotic charm.

Dakota Files (aka Dakota Payne) is the team’s lovable tall menace, standing at a proudly rounded-up 6 feet tall—even though he’s technically 5'11.3". With brown eyes, brown hair, and a wardrobe anchored by his iconic blue bucket hat from a certain Swedish furniture giant (no free sponsors), he’s instantly recognizable everywhere he goes. Dakota is a Scorpio who loves brownies, lives on Dr Pepper, and has an oddly specific passion for humans—specifically extinct ones. His favorite colors bounce between blue, orange, purple, and red, and his Pokémon of choice is the mighty Clobbopus. As the unofficial “oldest” member of the gang (unless you count John, who’s 95, and they absolutely do), Dakota brings a perfect mix of chaos and big-brother energy. And when the hat comes off? Damien comes out to play—Dakota’s dramatic alter ego who’s equal parts unhinged and unforgettable.
